Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator / Shop Foreman for a full-time permanent position. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical abilities, leadership skills, and extensive experience operating farm and heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain a variety of farm machinery, heavy equipment, and large tractors.
• Manage and supervise employees to ensure efficient workflow and safety compliance.
• Oversee shop operations, including inventory control and organization.
• Order and maintain parts, supplies, and materials as needed.
• Perform maintenance and mechanical repairs on farm and heavy-duty equipment.
• Operate welding equipment; perform various types of welding as required.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance checks.
• Assist with harvesting operations and other farm-related tasks.
• Handle heavy lifting and material transport.
• Work collaboratively with the team and adapt to changing priorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of excavator experience required.
• Proven mechanical and repair experience with heavy-duty and agricultural equipment.
• Welding experience required—must be proficient with multiple types of welding equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage employees and maintain organized shop operations.
• Strong understanding of inventory control.
• Harvesting experience is required.
• Ability to work long hours and weekends during busy seasons.
• Physically capable of performing heavy lifting and manual labor.
• Valid driver’s licence (Class G) required; AZ licence preferred.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
